Pearls of Wisdom

God’s Word is full of Him, Who is Wisdom. Jesus is spoken of as the Wisdom of God. In the Bible the book of Proverbs is a definite book of wisdom, which is to be studied. This page is dedicated to bringing the wisdom of God’s Word to you so that you may find daily wisdom for your own life.

Rejoice In The Lord

Let’s look at Psalm 5:11,12 today. I am combining the Amplified Bible and the New Living Translation for our study.

Let all those who take refuge and put their trust in the Lord rejoice, sing praises, and shout for joy forever.
Why?
The Lord makes a covering over them and defends them; He protects them.

Let all those who love the name of the Lord be joyful, full of joy and thanksgiving and praises.
Why?
The Lord will bless the righteous.
He surrounds them with His favor. He surrounds them with His Love as a shield of divine protection.

These two verses are all about God’s protection.
What is our part?
Take refuge in the Lord
Trust in Him
Love His name
Be joyful
Praise
Rejoice

Do you see the benefit of praising God and rejoicing in Him? Do you see the consequence of a joyful heart? Do you see the results of trusting in Him and taking refuge in His arms? Do you see the wonderful response to loving His name?

As a result of praising the Lord and rejoicing in Him, we have His protection. His divine Love is poured forth directly in line with joy and praise. Where there is the Love of God, there is joy. Where there is trust in the Love of God, there is a sense of well-being. God dwells in the middle of His praises. His Presence is brought forth for those who love and praise Him. His name is exalted above all situations when we praise Him. We are surrounded with His Presence. He is everywhere. When we praise Him, His Presence is actively involved in our lives. He blesses us. His Blessing is actively moving on our behalf.

When we are surrounded by the Presence of the Lord and the Blessing of His Love, we are able to walk out of sickness into health, out of poverty into prosperity, out of sin into righteousness, out of difficult situations into resolution for our difficulties. God wants us walking in the place of His Blessing poured forth over us as a shield to protect us from the enemy and the things of this earth that bring harm. Jesus told us that we were in the world where difficulties come, but He said that in Him we overcome those difficulties. Look at this scripture in John 16:33 in the Amplified Bible: …”In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]”

Yes, in Jesus we have overcome the world with its tribulation, trials, distress and frustration. He has deprived the world of power to harm us because He has conquered it for us. Jesus has overcome every difficulty we will ever encounter while we are living here on this earth. What we must do is believe that He has overcome for us and trust Him to bring us through those things that are thrown in our pathway to sidetrack us or destroy us.

Be of good cheer. That means to be joyful and praise God all the time for His goodness to us. We are to have confidence in the Lord’s care for us and boldly and confidently declare that He is taking care of us. We are to be comforted in God’s love for us as His children. He will take care of us. We are to rejoice, especially in difficult times. The more difficult the situation, the more we are to rejoice. Why is that? That does not make any sense to the natural mind. Oh, but it makes sense to the spirit man. And actually it makes sense in the physical realm as well. Rejoicing puts us in the place of God’s presence; He is released to take care of us and bring resolution to the problem we face. We are also told now that joy releases good chemicals into our body to keep us from breaking down into sickness and disease. So there you have it! The verdict is in: Being joyful is good for us!

SO, REJOICE!
