Pearls of Wisdom

God’s Word is full of Him, Who is Wisdom. Jesus is spoken of as the Wisdom of God. In the Bible the book of Proverbs is a definite book of wisdom, which is to be studied. This page is dedicated to bringing the wisdom of God’s Word to you so that you may find daily wisdom for your own life.

Shout Grace!

The Holy Spirit has a never-ending supply of God’s love, God’s power, God’s grace for each one of us. He never runs dry. He is always there. He is never too busy for you. He listens intently to you and cares deeply for you as the third member of the Godhead. He is ever mindful of you. He ever has you on His mind, just as the Father and Jesus do.

Let’s look at Zechariah 4:1-7 in the Amplified Bible.
And the angel who talked with me came again and awakened me, like a man who is wakened out of his sleep.
And said to me, What do you see? I said, I see, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with its bowl [for oil] on the top of it and its seven lamps on it, and [there are] seven pipes to each of the seven lamps which are upon the top of it.
And there are two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl and the other upon the left side of it [feeding it continuously with oil].
So I asked the angel who talked with me, What are these, my lord?
Then the angel who talked with me answered me, Do you not know what these are? And I said, No, my lord.
Then he said to me, This [addition of the bowl to the candlestick, causing it to yield a ceaseless supply of oil from the olive trees] is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit [of Whom the oil is a symbol], says the Lord of hosts.
For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shoutings of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it.

I see so much in this passage that we can apply to our relationship with the Lord, to understand the Holy Spirit.

Of course, the lampstand with the bowl of oil and the seven lamps with the seven pipes to each of the seven lamps is us, filled with the Holy Spirit. We are the ones who need the Holy Spirit, who is represented by the oil. And all of us are joined together in the Body of Christ. The olive trees continuously supply the oil, feed it to the lamps. What a picture of the Holy Spirit in our lives. He continuously supplies us with what we need to live our lives here on this earth to the fullest. He never runs dry, so to speak. He is always there. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. What a comfort to us. What an encouragement. What a reassurance. He is always with us. He cares about us deeply.

It is not by our might; it is not by our power; it is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we overcome, that we succeed, that we live a life of victory. And we can have constant victory, going from one victory to another as we go forward in this life.

Before you, as you walk out God’s plan for you here on this earth, mountains of obstacles become mere molehills. What a contrast! Any obstacle—sickness and disease, financial lack or lack in any area, relationships with spouses or children or friends, challenges on the job, grouchy people etc.---becomes a mere molehill. What does that mean? No matter how big the problem seems to you, in God’s eyes, it is so small, so insignificant, because He is much bigger than the problem. His power is in us to overcome that situation. Remember that GREATER is HE who is IN YOU than he that is in the world. Greater, greater, greater, greater. We must get that in our inner being. GOD IS GREATER!!!!!! Of course, if we depend on our own abilities to handle the problems, we won’t overcome. W will be frustrated and upset and have a defeated attitude.

Our instructions are: SHOUT GRACE! SHOUT GRACE! to the problems in our lives. And what are we doing when we shout grace? We are saying: God’s ability, God’s power, God’s might is released on my behalf, for me, extended to me even though I don’t deserve it and I have not done anything to deserve this extension of God’s power (love) toward me. What a God we serve! What a provision He has made for us to overcome whatever comes our way! Isn’t that awesome! He has already made provision today for what will come your way tomorrow! Rejoice!
