Pearls of Wisdom

God’s Word is full of Him, Who is Wisdom. Jesus is spoken of as the Wisdom of God. In the Bible the book of Proverbs is a definite book of wisdom, which is to be studied. This page is dedicated to bringing the wisdom of God’s Word to you so that you may find daily wisdom for your own life.

Paint A Picture

Let’s talk about art today. An artist has certain tools. He has a canvas, a scene or portrait or whatever to paint, paint, paintbrushes, and skill.

Did you know you have all those things as God’s child?
Let’s explore a bit here.

You are the artist.
You have a canvas which is your spirit, the center or core of your being.
God always has something from His Word He wants to paint on the canvas of your heart.
The paint is His Word.
The paintbrush is your tongue or mouth.
And the skill is what God calls the anointing—His ability on you to do what you cannot do otherwise.

Everything you say is painting a picture on the canvas of your heart and also your mind, which is a place where the pictures are formed. What is the picture you have on your mind, on your heart today? Is it the picture you want? If not, change the painting. Do a new and fresh one, one that is God’s own choosing and not yours.

The paint that God always wants us to use is His Word, not man’s words, but God’s Word. Here is where our choosing of the paints comes into play. Do you choose the paint or word of love, kindness, goodness, gentleness, peace, joy, faithfulness, self-control, patience, health, prosperity, success, victory, blessing, life? Or do you choose to use the paint, the word of the world, the opposite of God’s word? Whatever paint you choose will determine the type of picture that you produce.

Our tongue is the most powerful tool that God gave us. With it we can bless or with it we can curse ourselves and those around us. No wonder He wants us to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. God wants control of our tongue so that the right things can be painted on our canvas. When He is in control, there is a beautiful picture.

And then there is the skill of the artist that determines the beauty of the picture. There are those who would argue with me about this because they say that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. What is beautiful art to one is nothing but blobs of paint to another person. Aw, but God--------but God has the ultimate skill called the anointing, His ability given to you to produce a beautiful life, a picture to behold by anyone, a life full of days of heaven on earth. As you and I yield to Him and allow Him to paint the picture of our lives, He will produce a “work of art” that is a masterpiece. You are His masterpiece. And He wants you to produce that masterpiece at His direction.

One of our very familiar verses in the Bible is Jeremiah 29:11. But do not let familiarity cause you to miss the tremendous truth in this verse, a truth that you and I can stand on in our lives, even when it looks like this verse is not coming to pass. All of God’s Word will come to pass for you if you will hook up your faith with His power and respect His anointing, His skill, His nature, His ability.

Jeremiah 29:11 KJV and Amplified.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

Ponder that verse all day today. God has your whole life planned for you. Stay hooked up with Him and let Him direct the action in your life. And His plans are for good. People are the ones who mess up His perfect plans. And because we are not puppets on a string but individuals with freedom of choice, we are the ones who ultimately determine our destiny. And our mouth is the determiner of our lives. Set a watch, O Lord, over my lips today and every day.
