God Has A Plan

There is a powerful truth in Ephesians 2:10. Let’s look at it in the Amplified Bible.

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time), that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].

You and I have been created by God Himself. We are His workmanship. He has created us in His own image, with His very nature. He loved us so much that when Adam and Eve let go of God’s nature and His lordship, God had a plan. He had already made provision for His Son Jesus to come to this earth in the form of flesh and blood as the second Adam, to do what the first Adam did not do. Jesus made the way for man once again to be in the image of God, possessing God’s nature. What a plan!

We have been recreated; we are new creations in Christ Jesus; we have been born again, born anew.

There is a purpose for our creation. We are to do the works that God has planned beforehand for us. Before the foundation of the world, God knew us and had our lives planned for us. It is a good plan. He has forged paths in which we are to walk. These paths are already prepared for our walking. They are paths of the good life, to live life fully, in abundance, to the full until it overflows (John 10:10). These paths are ready and waiting. All we have to do is to choose to walk in them.
