Righteousness - Confession
In Psalm 49:3 in the New Living Translation, we read these words, a confession that all of us should make.
For my words are wise, and my thoughts are filled with insight.
Amplified Bible
My mouth shall speak wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.
Then we look at Romans 10:10.
With the heart man believes UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS
and with the mouth confession is made UNTO SALVATION.
Believing unto righteousness with my heart gives me the right to live at a new address while I am here on this earth----the Garden of Eden, Heaven on earth. It is a position and a relationship while I physically reside here on this planet earth. My being, my self, the part of me that is vibrantly living and breathing and aware of life is living in the heavenly realm if I am born again and have become a child of God.
I have said before that we are like ambassadors from another country and we are living in a special condition different than the land in which we are physically dwelling. We are living in the conditions of the country from which we came. We have a place called the ambassador’s dwelling. That dwelling place is in the Most High God, in His righteousness, in His Garden of Eden right here and right now.
Confessing unto salvation is the second half of Romans 10:10. Confession of God’s Word is speaking God’s Word so that you are in agreement with His kingdom; it is giving God’s words back to Him so that the Holy Spirit has substance from this earth (Godly confession of God’s Word) to work with substance from heaven (the anointing, the energy force, the ability of God). Put the two together---confession of God’s Word and believing unto righteousness, and you have the power of God released on behalf of you and your family. The Holy Spirit has the material to work with that will bring results. This is an atmosphere of faith and will produce what God says in His Word.
The importance of God’s Word being spoken is not a part of a regimented works program but a vibrant, vital exercise of making His Word available for Him to work with. This is the way God has set up everything. It is all revolving around words. Man was given the ability to speak, just like His God. You and I are exactly like our Heavenly Father. We are duplicates of Him. He speaks His Word and it produces results. We speak His Word and it produces results. Where the gap comes is in our believing. Do we really believe that His Word will produce results for us personally? The enemy, the devil, has “done a number” on most Christians so that they have so much fear and doubt and unbelief that it takes a long period of time to get that stuff out of the way, to make way for God’s way of doing things.
Righteousness is the pathway; it is the Love pathway of God because God is Love. God’s Word is the Light on that pathway and brings Life, the God-kind of life.
In Mark 11:23, we see the same thing we have been discussing regarding Romans 10:10. Let’s briefly look at that familiar verse. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever SHALL SAY unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and SHALL NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, but shall BELIEVE that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he SAITH.
It’s all about the heart and the mouth. Believe with the heart and confess with the mouth. And then it is all about the Word of God in our hearts and in our mouths. God’s Word is our guide. It contains His way of living. The Bible is our guidebook, our manual of operation.
