God Created Me

Let’s continue reading Psalm 139 in the New Living Translation.

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous----and how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
And when I wake up in the morning, you are still with me!

Look at these words.
God made you. He made every little intricate part of your body. He is the One Who put you together in your mother’s womb. He created you and made you the awesome person you are. His workmanship is marvelous. He saw you before you were ever born. He had already recorded every day of your life. He already saw every moment of your life laid out before you had breathed the oxygen of this earth one single day. When you go to sleep, and when you wake up, He is still with you. What a big God! He is bigger than we can comprehend right now.

God has made you. Don’t ever forget that? He has loved you and created you with His love. He knew you before you were ever conceived in your mother’s womb. He knew you. He knew every part of your before you were ever conceived. He saw you and He loved you. You are the apple of His eye, the center of His life. You are first of all His child before you were ever the child of your earthly parents. He is your Heavenly Parent. He cares for you watchfully and tenderly. He watches over you with a jealous eye. He guards you from harm.

He is always there to take care of you. The biggest problem is that we don’t always allow Him to take care of us. We believe we can take matters into our own hands and fix it ourselves, take care of it ourselves. We have that part of us that can be very self-sufficient and self-centered. It is called the flesh and it has to die daily. We live in the earth, surrounded by fleshly temptations to fulfill, to satisfy our own desires instead of God’s desires. He stands ever ready to help us, to keep us on the right path. But He also stands waiting for us when we go off His path. He is always there.

Always remember Who created you and Who has the power to keep you, even in the darkest moments of your life and the brightest moments of your life. He keeps you. He takes care of you. When you yield to Him, He will always handle life’s tests for you. Let Him stay in the driver’s seat. He knows what is ahead.
