Pearls of Wisdom

God’s Word is full of Him, Who is Wisdom. Jesus is spoken of as the Wisdom of God. In the Bible the book of Proverbs is a definite book of wisdom, which is to be studied. This page is dedicated to bringing the wisdom of God’s Word to you so that you may find daily wisdom for your own life.

The Word

Today, I want you to focus on Jesus, the Word. As you speak your scriptures today, as you study your Bible, as you meditate God’s Word, focus on the fact that Jesus is the Word made flesh and dwelling among us. The Word is everything. Without the Word of God, life for people is difficult, if not downright impossible. God’s Word will not return to Him void, but it will produce what it is sent forth to produce.

Do not become discouraged and say that the Word does not work for you. The Word of God always works. What we have to do is get honest with ourselves and admit that it is us.

Just this week, God showed me some things in my heart that needed to be dealt with. When He took care of them, my heart was so free. There can be so much clutter in our minds and hearts that blocks the performance of God’s Word in our lives. What we must do is rest in Him and trust Him to take care of us, developing us, maturing us, day by day and year by year. It is a growing process, a living process the rest of our lives.

It can really become fun if we will allow Him to do His work instead of fretting and fussing about what hasn’t happened yet. I found that I had spent more time a number of years ago focusing on what wasn’t happening instead of looking at all the things God was doing for me. You got up this morning, didn’t you? Thank Him for the breath of life. You can start there and He will show you many things throughout the day that are good.

Think on this word today.
John 1:1-5,12,13
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power (authority, right, privilege) to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
