Healing Seed
Let’s plant some healing seed today.
Proverbs 4:20-22 tells us that we are to pay attention to God’s Word, listen to it, keep it before our eyes and keep it in the middle of our hearts or spirits. Why? His Word is life to us and health or medicine to all our flesh.
We must take this Word, take this medicine. Unlike many medical prescriptions (and I don’t have anything against doctors or medicine), the Word of God has absolutely no bad side effects. When you take His Word by reading, speaking and meditating on it, it produces positive results.
Let me ask you something. When a doctor gives you a prescription, do you just take it home and say that it won’t work so you are not even going to get the prescription filled? That is what many people do with the Word of God. Or how about this? You pay big bucks for the prescription and take it home and put it in your medicine cabinet without ever taking it. How much sense does that make? Once again, that is what God’s people are doing with His Word. But almost everyone I know is very diligent to take the prescription they are given, and they follow the instructions explicitly. They even go back for refills until the medical condition is taken care of. Well, God’s Word is medicine to all our flesh. It has a remedy for every sickness and disease in our bodies. It has a 100% cure every time, all the time, if taken according to directions.
God has sent His Word to us (Psalm 107:20) and His Word will produce what it says it will produce. It will produce. God’s Word produces every time it is put to work. That Word is full of life, energy, power, God Himself, Life Himself.
We must feed on that energy, that power, God Himself, Life Himself until the very essence of God’s Word that we are feeding on becomes more real to us than the sickness or disease which is attempting to wrap itself around our body and bring us down.
You know, if most people ate as often as they eat the Word of God, they would starve to death or be so emaciated looking that they were literally nothing but skin and bones. That is the way so many of God’s people look in the spirit realm. When is the last time you only ate one meal a week? That is what a lot of people do; they have a quick drive through on Sunday morning and expect that to hold them until the next Sunday. I guarantee that from that one Sunday morning to the next, they will not miss any meals of food for their physical bodies. And yet their spiritual lives are so important. Their spirits need feeding also.
Just as it takes time for food to assimilate in our bodies or for medicine to have its effect, the Word of God takes time to develop our spirit man until we are able to receive the healing that God has already provided for us.
Let the Word work for you and don’t give up. Keep on taking in the Word of God for your healing. Jesus has already purchased healing for you. What you have to do is to receive it. And you can do that. Keep on taking it in. His Word will produce results. Let it do its work and don’t give up.
