Pearls of Wisdom

God’s Word is full of Him, Who is Wisdom. Jesus is spoken of as the Wisdom of God. In the Bible the book of Proverbs is a definite book of wisdom, which is to be studied. This page is dedicated to bringing the wisdom of God’s Word to you so that you may find daily wisdom for your own life.

Words, Manifested Sound

I heard a quote from Phil Driscoll which I have been pondering concerning sound and words. It has impacted my spirit. This is what he said. “Nothing ever happens to manifest from the spirit realm into the earthly realm until sound is applied to it.”

Sound is obviously God’s idea because there are so many variations of sound in our earth. But the most remarkable use of sound is that which is applied to languages, the words mankind speaks. And don’t you find it interesting that there is not just one language any more but many, since the tower of Babel when God divided sound into many languages.

Words frame and form the images in our mind and create ideas which take on form in this earth. Our words are designed to withdraw from the realm of the spirit by the connection called faith. Words, empowered by faith, create. That is how we were designed as humans. We are exactly like our Father God. He creates by words, as demonstrated in Genesis 1, the very first introduction to God that we have.

When you add sound to or speak a word, that word, filled with sound, changes a picture. You adjust the picture in your mind, based on what the words you are hearing are framing. For example, let’s do a test. When I say dog, you see one picture. And I might add, you will each see a different picture in your mind, based on your knowledge and experience. When I say big dog, the picture changes. When I say big black dog, the picture changes. When I say big black curly dog, the picture changes. Do you see from this exercise what words do for us?

Whether we like it or not, and whether we believe it or not, words create our world-----words we say, words others say, words we hear from whatever we see and listen to. This earth and everything in it, including you and me, were formed with words originally.

Jesus is even called the Word in the first chapter of John. The Word was in the beginning. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. When our words are spoken by the direction of the Holy Spirit, they are full of the anointing of God to create what we say. I think one of the greatest challenges that most people face is that they are depending on words which are not anointed to do the job in their lives. It is the Word of God that you have in your word bank that the Holy Spirit anoints which will produce results. That is why it is so important to fill ourselves with the Word of God.

I hear much opinion and discussion about the Word of God. Does it do this? Does it do that? What about this? What about that? Well, why don’t we just accept what the Word says, read it, speak it, confess it, and let the Lord Himself do the rest. We can’t work the Word. Only God Himself has the capability of causing that Word to come to pass. Why don’t we do our thing and let the Holy Ghost do the rest? And we will enter into the rest of the Lord that way. So many people I know are trying to work the word to produce in their lives and are frustrated to no end as they see nothing in the natural for all their hard work.

Let’s just take God at His Word. Let’s believe what He says in His Word. And He will take care of it for us. Meanwhile, we continue to do what we need to do in the natural to take care of ourselves, whether it be financial situations or health or relationships. God will do His job. What we need to do is allow Him to do so without complaining about how much time it is taking. The time is not on God’s part. It is on our part as we learn to believe and to receive. God has it ready for us. We just don’t always know how to tap into it.

His Word says He hastens to perform His Word and that His Word will not return to Him void, empty or without producing results. We must believe that and act accordingly. Continue in His Word until faith comes. And you will know when you have faith. Remember that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

We have faith from what we have been hearing, whether from the world or from the Word.
